Smash Rewards is a great way to get enticing offers from your favorite merchants, and also learn about new products or services, trials of new products or services, and clearances. And you’re in control: you choose the merchants to sign up to, and you set the number of messages you’re willing to receive. And you can opt out at any time.

Easy. And you don’t even need to create an account!

• Go to the Offers! page on our site. Here, you can browse all the offers and merchants; when you find something you like, you can send the offer to your phone. You can search for specific offers, and filter the display by Zip code or category. If you do sign up and create an account with us, then you can manage your preferences and subscriptions to merchants’ offers.

• Or you can sign up with your phone. See the next question for more details.

Easy. You can sign up from your phone or from our Web site.

• Phone. Text SMASH SIGNUP XXXX to 27126, where XXXX is the four-character merchant ID (displayed in the merchant’s shop, probably by the checkout area). You’ll receive a confirmation message and a PIN, to which you need to reply to confirm you’re signing up. Once signed up, you will periodically receive offers from this merchant. You can sign up to as many merchants as you want.
• Web site. Go to the My Account page and sign up; all we need is your mobile phone number and a PIN. You’ll receive a confirmation message on your phone (so make sure you have it handy), to which you need to reply to confirm you’re signing up. Once signed up, you can browse our site and sign up to as many merchants as you want, and also send yourself any of the current offers we have displayed.

Easy — two steps:

• Reply with SMASH OK to the message you received with the offer; you’ll receive a message confirming you’re redeeming the offer.
• Visit the merchant and show one of their staff members this confirmation message.

That’s it!

In a word, Yes. Smash Rewards relies on a technology called SMS, or Short Messaging Service. SMS has been a feature of mobile phones for many years. And today, just about every phone is text-capable. You don’t need to download any special software to use Smash Rewards. If your phone and service allow access to the Web, then you can access our mobile site and see more great offers on the go.

Nothing. That’s right — nothing. Smash Rewards is a free service. We don’t charge you for receiving an offer, and neither does the merchant for sending you one. The only possibility of charges is by your wireless carrier, if you don’t have a data or messaging plan as part of your service.

Absolutely! As long as you have a text-capable phone (and today just about every phone is), you can use any text-messaging feature or service, including Smash Rewards. One disadvantage to not having a data or messaging plan is that you will probably have to pay for evey message you receive from Smash Rewards. We don’t charge you for receiving a message, but your wireless carrier will. So you should contact your carrier and see what they offer for messaging or data plans.

As often as you like! Some merchants may set the number of times they want you to be able to redeem an offer, but otherwise you can send yourself as many offers as you like from our site, and sign up to receive offers from as many merchants as you want.

With any merchant who’s a member of the Smash Rewards network. Check our site’s Offers! page to see the merchants currently participating in Smash Rewards. Be sure to check back often — we’re adding more merchants every day. And if you have a favorite merchant who’s not a member of the Smash Rewards network, tell them to sign up with us so we can send you their offers!

We hate spam as well. We promise that we will never reveal to anyone your phone number or other information you provide us. We adhere to the Mobile Marketing Association’s Code of Conduct for Mobile Marketing and comply with the requirements of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The only messages you will receive from Smash Rewards are offers from the merchants you’ve signed up to, and the occasional message from us, letting you know of new features in our service. That’s it. And, if you’re signed up, you can set the maximum number of messages you’re willing to receive each week in your “My Account” page. The only requirement we have of you is that you be willing to receive at least one message a week from a merchant.
